International organizations
There are numerous international organizations which support or promote the peaceful use of nuclear technology; develop or monitor global environmental standards; and establish radiation protection standards. Many of these organizations are supported either directly or indirectly by governments or quasi-governmental organizations, through international treaties. Others are supported by industry or academic groups.
